Push the release tab down to unclip the sections
The Slugbandit installation can be taken apart (e.g.) for the Winter but please avoid unreasonably straining any of the parts in the process.

In extremely cold temperatures plastics become brittle so take care not to drop the sections.

Step 1: Unclip the sections.

Step 2: Remove the battery from the Battery Box.

Step 3: Clean the contact fingers with a brush [non wire] or with a damp cloth etc.

Clean in water if required but avoid immersing Slugbandit parts or hose them at high pressure and close-up. Although Slugbandit is designed to operate continuously outside in all weathers however wet, the housings are splashproof but not sealed. This is to allow moisture to evaporate naturally. Consequently excessive amounts may penetrate and degrade operational performance.
Slugbandit does not have an 'ON/OFF' switch. All of the time that the battery is installed the circuit is running.
Therefore we do recommend that the battery is removed when Slugbandit is not in use and/or is being stored.
